Who we are

SEOIQ is an SEO analysis tool operated by a sole trader in the United Kingdom. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at support@semtrail.com.

What we collect

• Account details you give us: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Content and audit data you create in the app, such as the pages, keywords, and reports you generate.
• If you choose to connect them, data from Google Search Console (read-only) and Google Analytics 4 (read-only).

How we use Google user data

We use the Google data you connect for one purpose: to show you your own Search Console and Analytics metrics inside your SEOIQ account, such as per-page clicks, impressions, positions, and sessions, shown alongside your audits. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build any profile of you.

Limited use

SEOIQ's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In plain terms, this means we do not sell your Google data, we do not use it for advertising, we do not transfer it to anyone except to provide the feature you asked for or where the law requires it, and no human reads it except for security, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.

Storage and security

Your Google authorisation tokens are stored encrypted. Your data is held on our hosting infrastructure in the United Kingdom or European Union. We restrict access to it and protect it with appropriate technical measures.

Retention and deletion

You stay in control of the Google connections. You can disconnect Search Console or Analytics at any time from within the app, which deletes the stored authorisation tokens for that project. To delete your account and the data associated with it, contact us at support@semtrail.com and we will remove it.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of infrastructure providers only to run the service: our hosting provider, Google's APIs for the data you connect, and a language-model provider used to generate content suggestions. Each processes data only as needed to provide SEOIQ.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these, contact support@semtrail.com.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
